Collaborations With Nature
I was drawn by the processes of nature and sought to bring them into my methods as a designer, to take acknowledgement of their presence as a way of guiding form and allowing their counterpart to be subjugated by digital and material processes. Exploring how this approach can be applied in a product context that enables elements of nature to be entwined within our indoor environments. A subject that begins to channel ideas around constructional law and concepts of biophilia to work with nature in a way that helps how we relate to our space and object, to subjugate the confines that are deeply entwined within how we shape our indoor environments, the squares, sharp edges and flat surfaces that are common within manufacturing and design approaches and intersect them with natural form.
